Se fundó en 2016 por unos aficionados al piragüismo y amantes de la Sierra Espadàn y del río Mijares.
Sus objetivos son la práctica de esta modalidad deportiva, difundir y expandir sus valores a la sociedad y facilitar su acceso a la población en general.
En el año 2015
Quedan en 2015 derogadas las prohibiciones de navegación en el embalse de Sitjar debidas ala presencia de la plaga del Mejillón Cebra. A partir de entonces empezó a ser navegable cumpliendo una serie de estrictos requisitos.
¿Por qué se creó el Club?
Por un lado para poder practicar y difundir el deporte del piragüismo en un entorno tan idóneo y cercano como es el Embalse del Sitjar y por otro porque la forma más fácil para disfrutar de este deporte, es mediante la unión y el compañerismo, además juntos se facilita la gestión de muchos trámites y permisos que a nivel individual son muy costosos en cuanto a tiempo y dinero.
